Focusing on the Health and Safety of Women and Girls in Portland

We are continuing to share good news!!

This Spring, we launched a unique grant opportunity: Our Portland Girls Health and Safety Initiative.  Our location based grant program aimed to support organizations focused on health and safety initiatives for women and girls in the City of Portland.  We had many outstanding applicants!  Below are the five recipients of our 2023 grant program.  We encourage our community to learn more about these important organizations and stay tuned for the next round of Portland Health and Safety grants later this summer!
 

Triple Threat Mentoring  - Triple Threat Mentoring in Portland provides one-on-one and group mentoring to primarily Black and Brown girls in foster care and experiencing homelessness. www.triplethreatmentoring.com 

Wild Diversity - Wild Diversity is increasing the number of BIPOC women and girls who see the outdoors as a place for them. www.wilddiversity.com

OK You Guerreras Latinas -OK You is a nonprofit that supports youth in using creative wellness practices to stay connected to their OK selves. https://okyou.org

FaithBridge LLC - FaithBridge's Brown Girl Brave Girls program seeks to interrupt the cycle of trauma through an intensive 8 week healing and mentorship program. www.faithbridgellc.com

Water Strong - WaterStrong empowers individuals to fully comprehend the unique safety considerations at every Eco-Swim clinic site and delivers the skills training for participants to be able to respond to hazards and empower others to embrace safety around water in a strengths-based manner. www.waterstrong.org
