Our Commitment and Work

Dear friends,

We embrace and are inspired by Kimberlé Crenshaw's words, "The struggle against patriarchy and racism must be substantively robust and inextricably intertwined."

This Black History Month, and every month, we are proud of our intersectional consciousness and our intentional efforts to center women, girls and women identifying folks of color in our work and movement building.  

Dismantling systems of oppression requires understanding the complexity and patterns of power dynamics.  We will never shy away from nuance as we confront systemic realities, in order to achieve our goal of a more socially just state and country.  

This month we proudly reaffirm our commitment to intersectionality and centering Black women, girls, and women identifying folks' voices, work, and leadership.
