Honored to share that Friends of The Children is a Portland Women and Girls Health and Safety Grant grantee!
They have created two initiatives for young women: Girls Circle and Girls Empowerment; Girls Circle is a safe and welcoming space that allows girls to voice their experiences, develop positive connections, and gain critical life skills to pursue their self-determined goals in education, careers, and relationships. Additionally, Girls Empowerment teaches girls about their intrinsic value, healthy boundaries, and self-defense.
We are elated to announce our grant recipients! Thank you to our community for supporting these efforts!
