What changes the world?

Our Executive Director, Libra Forde, traveled to the White House with an amazing crew of elected leaders from Oregon. During the trip, she was able to share about the work we are doing at WFO and participate in collective conversations about multi-level work to advance gender justice.

Dear Friends,

You receive this email because you have a shared commitment in advancing gender justice.

As we prepare for 2024, we are proud of our community and the work that all of us do to create a more socially just and humane world.  However, we are also frustrated that there are so many injustices that still exist; from threats to our reproductive rights to the staggering numbers regarding domestic violence.

We know that to change the world, to make an impact, we must keep fighting.  We must keep fighting
together.  WFO is committed to being that space for folks to be in community to DO THE WORK and to SUPPORT OTHERS who are doing the work.

Hope is a necessary ingredient to change and community facilitates hope.

We ask that you support our efforts to continue to community and movement build.  Every little bit makes a difference, because it is joined with other individuals efforts.

"Because addressing domestic violence requires an integrated approach, Oregon needs a similar over-arching strategy to be successful."

All of us in the WFO community are committed to eradicating Domestic Violence.  The Oregon Secretary of State recently released an important report outlining the need for a Comprehensive Statewide Strategy.

We will continue to use our resources, both financial and institutional, to advance effective strategies to save and change lives.
