Celebrate Black stories and support pay transparency in Oregon

Calling all activists! Nominate yourself or someone who is doing the work to abolish gender injustice in our community.

These are our values, and as an organization we work to live and support those living them everyday. That is why our Dream Big Grant Initiative means so much to us. It is the encapsulation of our values and our commitment to allowing organizations to dream big alongside us.

We are launching our first grant opportunity of 2023! We are starting with a location-based grant for the city of Portland. The grant is focused on health and community safety initiatives serving 14-24 year old women and girls.

Our jobs are rooted in the transparency of our actions, the sustainability of our approach and the operationalizing of our values; liberation, justice, collectivity, joy, integrity, growth and courage. The WFO team is deeply committed to this assignment and currently I am focused on reflection.

The end of the year is a time for reflection, a time to take stock, and a time to plan for the new year. We have been encouraged by this exceptional community and cannot wait to continue our path of learning, discovery and momentum towards gender justice.

The Women’s Foundation is excited to announce its In This Moment Grant winners!

Thank you for being champions of gender equity in your lives, and thank you for walking alongside us in our continued equity journey. 

In the coming year, you can count on us to do even more of the critical work that we’ve always done: supporting our members as forces for gender equity; investing in organizations serving women and girls; and providing leadership on gender equity in Oregon.

As we close out 2018, we’re excited to announce two big shifts to make Foundation membership even more open and accessible.

This summer we wrapped up the pilot year of our Immediate Impact Fund, and I’m constantly reminded of how important it is for us as funders to continue listening to and learning from those we serve.

There are few things that fill my heart as much as Pride in Oregon -- when my beloved home state celebrates the love, families, and human rights of LGBTQ folks for an entire month.

May is filled with reasons to celebrate, to act, to reflect, and to listen.
